This followed by a lavash (Armenian national bread) backing master-class and a lunch with a great view of the temple and gorge. Next is a visit to the UNESCO heritage sight Monastery of Geghard, which is known for its peerless sculptures and cave church. Founded in the 3rd century its name translates as spear, dedicated to the Holy Lance, which used to be kept here. Return to Yerevan. Later you will have a nice welcome dinner in a restaurant with national dishes and drinks. Overnight in Yerevan
Your trip starts after the breakfast with a city tour in Yerevan. From the observation area in the Victory Park, you will be able to enjoy an amazing view to Yerevan and Mount Ararat. The excursion will continue to the Cascade – the favorite place of Yerevan residents. The Cascade is a huge staircase that connects the city center with the residential area. Downstairs, you will see the unique sculptures, belonging to the world famous foreign sculptors. Next, you will pass through the main street of the city, and see the building of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, several central streets of Yerevan, and the Republic Square – the “heart” of the capital. After the city-tour you will participate in Gastro event. Everyone get together around a large table along the street and enjoy the warm atmosphere. You will have a chance to try dishes typical to Armenian and international cuisines matching them with the various alcoholic and soft drinks. There will be a great number of rest areas where the visitors can enjoy their food, drinks and the acoustic stage music under the colorful lights of the Gastro Day.
Breakfast at the hotel. Your last day starts with check out from the hotel and visit to the ‘Armenian Vatican’ – the oldest state built cathedral in the world and the religious center of all Armenians – St. Etchmidzin (4th c.). You also attend the Etchmiadzin museum where many holy relics are kept and the surrounding early medieval churches Gayane and Hripsime. Lunch in Etchmiadzin. The next stop is Zvartnots. The temple reminds a cross put into a circle. The ruins of Zvartnots Temple are designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. From Zvartnots there is a 10 minutes drive to the airport with same name. Farewell and departure.
