We will start our tour by the visit of the Geghard Monastery. Built in the 4th century it is considered one of the oldest monasteries in Armenia. Then we will continue to Garni, which is the only preserved pagan temple after the adoption of Christianity. The next stop will be the pearl of Gegharkunik province - Sevanavank Monastery. The complex got its name from the black stone it is made of. After Sevanavank we will continue to Dilijan where you will have the rest of the day to enjoy the magnificent nature and fresh air. Overnight: Dilijan
The next day we will explore the Tavush province. We will visit the Goshavank Monastery, which is named after Mkhitar Gosh and was an important cultural center many centuries ago. Then we will continue to Haghartsin Monastery. The complex was rebuilt many years ago and now is mostly built of white stones but the contrast of the monastery with the surrounding nature is breathtaking. The last stop before heading back to Yerevan will be lake Parz where you will have free time to walk around or in case of desire take a boat.
