After your arrival we will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Yerevan. Your trip starts with a city-tour around Yerevan. First of all, you will be able to enjoy an amazing view to Yerevan and Mount Ararat from the observation area in the Victory Park. The excursion will continue to the Cascade – the favorite place of Yerevan residents. The Cascade is a huge staircase that connects the city center with the residential area. Downstairs, you will see the unique sculptures, belonging to the world famous foreign sculptors. Next, you will pass through the main street of the city. Here you see the building of the Opera and Ballet Theatre, several central streets, and the Republic Square – the “heart” of the capital. A visit to History Museum is a fascinating journey through the rich history of Armenia. The following visit to the National Gallery allows you to get the taste of Armenia through history and arts.

The day starts with a drive to south-west. Here,the monument of dedicated to liberation of Armenia is located. Not far from it you visit the neolithic archeological sight of Metsamor castle and the Metsamor historical-archaeological museum-reserve. It is one of the best rated museums in the country. Then, a visit to the spiritual and administrative center of the Armenian Apostolic church st. Etchmiadzin. You can see one of the oldest churches in the world – the Etchmiadzin Cathedral (early 4th century) and other remarkable religious sights. From here you Departure to the ruins of Zvartnots. It is considered a masterpiece of the early medieval Armenian architecture. Lastly, you visit the museum of the genius artist and film director Sergey Parajanov.

Day starts, as always, with a breakfast. This is followed by a visit to Garni Pagan Temple located not far from Yerevan. It was dedicated to the sun god Mitra (mihr) and was the summer residence of Armenian kings. Next is a visit to the UNESCO heritage sight Monastery of Geghard. Known for its peerless sculptures and cave church, it was founded in the 3rd century. Its name translates as spear, dedicated to the holy lance that used to be kept here. Then, the tour continues in Yerevan. You visit one of the largest repositories of ancient manuscripts in the world – the Matenadaran. In the evening, you attend a spectacular performance at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.

Day 4 begins with a trip through the Ararat Valley to the monastery of Khor Virap. Its history is related to the adoption of Christianity in Armenia. It offers the most spectacular view of Mount Ararat. The trip continues towards Areni wine region. Here you participate in tasting local wines and have an excursion at a wine factory. Next, you visit the cave with excavations of the oldest winery in the world. After the dinner in Areni, the tour continues towards the masterpiece of medieval Armenian architecture - the noravank monastery. It is surrounded by picturesque red cliffs and beautiful landscapes. You return to Yerevan in the evening and visit one of the famous local jazz clubs.
