Arrival, greeting at the airport by Green Way Travel representative and transfer to the hotel. After a little rest, you take part in a private sightseeing city-tour in the capital of Armenia. Later the same day, you visit the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin (302-303 AD). The Cathedral is the oldest state-built church in the world and the seat of the Catholicos of All Armenians. It is followed by a visit to Zvartnots temple (means "celestial angels") built in 7th century. Hiking: 7 km / 2-3 hrs
The second day strats with a drive towards Lake Sevan. After visiting mevieval Sevanavank - transfer to Artanish peninsula, where you start an easy hike to Artanish Mountain (2461m). Its summit is the only place from which we can see the whole Lake Sevan. Later, a drive to forested resort town of Dilijan and overnight.
After the breakfast, you visit Haghartsin monastery (10-14th cc.), located in Dilijan National Park. Next, a drive to Aghavnavank village and start hiking along the road adjacent to the stream. You reach a monastery lost in the dense forests of the national park. Later, a drive to Haghpat village and overnight.
First thing after the breakfast, a drive to a medieval Armenian monastery complex Haghpat (976). It is located in the same name village. Later, you have a drive to Odzun village and visit the famous 6th century Church. Start hiking through the beautiful valley of Debed river, following a trail across the upper part of the canyon wall towards Horomayri Monastery. Then, a walk towards Kobayr and drive back to Yerevan.
Day strats with a drive to the mountainous Lake Kari, located 3200m above sea level. Start hiking the southern summit (3880m) of the highest mountain of Armenia and South Caucasus. The highest northern peak has 4090m altitude. After conquesring Aragats, you descend from the mountain to the Lake Kari and return to the capital Yerevan.
On your last day you have a drive to Kotayk province and visit the fortress and pagan temple of Garni. From here you start hiking through the Azat gorge with the beautiful scenery to the Symphony of Stones. Next stop is the monastery of Geghard with its impressive halls carved inside the rocks. Transfer to the airport and departure.
